It's official according to the Fan, Boogy signed a 4 yr $6.6 million dollar contract with the NY Rangers.. It's a sad day for this Wild fan.. But then again, when you don't have any superstars to protect, why would we need an enforcer?

It's for the best. That money is better spent elsewhere.

What do you need an enforcer for? Who was Chicago's enforcer? How many superstars did they have? The way the game is now, they are a dying breed. They rack up penalty minutes and cost money while scoring few points.

Gonna agree with you Onafly about the change in SKILL reqs ....can't even recall the Oiler enforcer on that great skilled team.

He can put people in the seats. Not everyone understands hockey, but everyone understands two guys whaling on each other. And, it's always fun when your guy wins!

How many times was he in the sin bin when we gave up a PP goal? Right.

That said, I also enjoyed watching him line someone up from across ice. It was a good salary to get off the books, and we can replace him for much less.
