Here is my question wich is better spray foamed floor or a sandwiched floor? Of course I already spray foamed my floor and then thought about this go figure. we all know that spray foam is good but what about were the steel cross members are there is no insulation there and metal is a great coductor of cold (in this application) so in theory wouldnt sandwiching foam be better. just curious

No question spray foam is a much better floor. The best route to take is to spray over the metal frame, eliminating the cold conduction. You then have a built in vapor barrier to avoid your floor rotting from moisture, and everything is "glued" together.

Plus 1. You could also drill a few small holes in the metal frame and shoot some foam inside of the tubing if you have the right equipment to get it in far enough.
