That's really a question you need to answer yourself but we have had a Beachcomber Hotub for eight years and have it out the back door on a 16'x16' covered/screened deck overlooking the back yard. I would never have one inside. My most favorite time to use it is late afternoon before sunset when a person can see what is going on in the backyard. The only better setup would be overlooking a lake.

We also have an inground pool out back and an electric sauna in the basement. We use the hotub at least 5 to 6 times a week and the sauna barely ever since we got the tub. About the only time we do not use the hotub is when it is colder than 20 degrees below zero.

I have seen people that have them and then never use them or drain them for several months a year and then just never get back to using them again. I think it all comes down to your setup, ease of access and ease of maintenance. I had it on the same deck before I put a roof over it and then you had to shovel snow in the winter to use it. This was a pain, and walking out with bare feet on a frozen deck was not a good thing although looking up at the stars during the winter was fabulous. In the summer, you had to deal with the bugs.

Privacy is another consideration as we don't care to wear bathing suits. A hotub feels great when it is below zero but try stepping out in a wet bathing suit and you will know what I mean.

It really comes down to a personal decision but if ours went to heck tomorrow, we would be out shopping the next day. Good luck. Pike
