GAR!!!

I was wondering where to find some of these long nose critters. I know a lake that produces 30 plus pounders, I would be willing to share via e mail, if someone else could give me an idea where to find em closer to the metro area fair trade i think!

I know a lake that produces 30 plus pounders

30 lbs that is almost double the state record. See records below. Also both state records were taken in rivers close to the metro I guess I would start my searches on these waters.

i always thought the gar stuck to the rivers as well

I know a good spot just north of the cities where you could get into some gar...not much for size, but there are numbers.

You'll find shortnose, for sure, in lakes.

you can find longnose gar in lakes i have... never shot one but i see them fishing in northern WI alot
