Fitting Boat Cover to New Bow Mount Trolling Motor

Recommended Posts

Just put a new Trolling Motor on my bass boat this year. It a new MinKota Fourtrax 52". The motor is longer than my old one and the FourTrax Mount is WAY taller than my old motor (Motorguide Tour 109). I just tried to put my boat cover on last night and Wow it doesnt fit much at all. I can get it on but its pretty nasty.

I have heard of a place called Canvas Craft out in Rogers. Anyone have any experience with them or other places to get your cover redone? What does something like that cost?

I am spoiled with my new motor but I do like my cover to fit like a glove. Let me know!

I had a friend of mine experience the same thing but he brought it to a shop along Hwy. 8 by Green Lake in Lindstrom. They did a nice job of creating a pocket for the trolling motor and it looked pretty much like it was purchased that way. I'm sure somebody can chime in with the name of the place - Frankies gets some of their work done there.

Doesn't Canvas Craft still have a building in Ramsey along Hwy 10? That is where I had my cover made and they do excellent work. Same company as the one in Rogers, just the original building, last I seen they had 2 buildings.

Thanks guys. I think Ill give canvas craft a try.

I could remove the motor for traveling but I travel alot of short distances for tournies and I leave the boat in the parking lot at work so I like to have it covered.

I do remember seeing something on hwy 10. Ill look around if there is a closer location that would be nice.
