"Is that a musky lure?"

I had someone ask me that tonight as I was tossing my big chunky 5'' homemade swimbaits around for northern pike (which I had great success with!)

Right before calling it quits for the evening, I hooked this dandy. You can imagine the look of surprise that was on my face.

Sometimes I wonder just what these fish are thinking!

i hooked a dandy 7" crappie on a subwalk last year. absolutely smashed it. only fish i've caught on that lure come to think of it...

coincidence or not, i have caught more crappies off cranks and swims this year than the last five combined. have heard reports of others as well. fun to see a 10 inch crappie hanging onto a 7inch rap!

haha nice job, i caught a little baby bass on a big muskie bucktail last summer the lure was bigger then the fish

Reminds me of my brother. We were fishing a lake where we were catching good size pike on small spoons. He switched to the biggest spoon he had and proceeded to catch 3 or 4 8" crappies. The spoon itself was about 4 inches long.

mainbutter either that eyes on that crappie were way bigger than its stomach or thats the greatest paint job on a lure that I have ever seen
