Tractor Question

Question

Ok 3 years ago I bought a (1964) ford 2000 Industrial tractor with a loader and all the implements for a food plot helper. Finally I just had my land logged and I am a few weeks away from working up the ground and getting everything ready to plant my 1st food plot. I have been running the tractor on and off over the past 3 years mainly just cleaning up around the camp and pushing some new trails. I check all of the fluids regularly and they seem ok, but over the past year I saw my engine oil was a bit low and pretty dirty. So I did a oil/filter change this weekend and for the life of me I cant find a spot to add the new oil. I know this sounds silly but I just cant find it, so now I am sitting with a tractor that is ready to work but I cant find out where to add the oil. If my father in law was still living he would tell my I need to brush up on my "farm sharpness" but unfortunately he is no longer with us. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Pier,

I am sure there is, I just cant find that darn thing. I know there is nothing by the filter its self, but with the loader frame it is tough to get a good look. I know there is something but I cant find it...

Thanks anyway

That old a tractor probably doesn't have a safety up-lock. Many of the newer ones have a collar type of rig that goes around one of the extended cylinders.

The easiest to use - a 4x4 post or pole positioned under the back edge of the bucket or a part of the linkage that it will keep from coming down. If you are by yourself, build a foot to make it stand up, put it in place and gently lower the weight of the bucket onto it.

Or if a fence post is tall enough, drive up to a fence, and sit the bucket weight on a post.

Anything to make sure it can't come down while you are under it or in the linkage.
