bassNspear
i heard a report that he wants to come to the vikings?Anyone else hear this?
TR21HP
That would have to be one incentive based contract if it was true. Way too much baggage with that guy.
Scott K
Just a report that someone from 1500 am said he wanted to come here, teams havent talked, or agents. Just gossip!Quote:Citing unnamed NFL sources, ESPN 1500 AM in Minneapolis-St. Paul reports Albert Haynesworth is interested in joining the Vikings. This, of course, does not mean that a trade is around the corner. Haynesworth still wants out of D.C., but there have been no known talks between the two teams. The Vikings are in danger of losing the Williams Wall for four games, but Kevin Williams will come back to claim the three-technique position after his potential suspension. For now, Haynesworth and the Redskins are stuck with each other.
bassNspear
ya thats what i have heard to, that he wanted to play here, but the teams didnt talk about it as of yesterday!
pikestabber
I know he is an attitude risk (understatement of the century), but on a winning team with a 4-3 defense and plenty of players beneath him to challenge and inspire him to give it 110%, I think this move would be a great one. We get insurance against possible suspensions of the Williams Wall, we have a Fat Pat replacement for next year, and we have a guy that thrives in a defense that has other parts around him--he was a beast with the added help in Tennessee, but he struggled in Washington as he had no help around him. I hate his attitude and field presence--he is a dirty player, but he could be an integral part of our D. Sign him to two years with incentives for playing time, not guaranteed money like DC did--that was a horrendous mistake for the Skins. mrklean
i thought washington was willing to dish out a lot of the money owed to him to dump him?
Scott K
Quote:According to Vikings beat reporter Judd Zulgad, an Albert Haynesworth trade to Minnesota "is not going to happen."A Haynesworth trade was possible during the draft, but the Redskins and an interested team would have to get extremely creative to make a deal happen now. Coach Mike Shanahan isn't waiting around to win games. Haynesworth can help the Skins, even if he's not currently amenable to playing nose tackle. FISHINGURU
Junkson and a 3rd sounds pretty creative to me!! He can take over the for the Skins in a couple years after Mcnabb.

mrklean
i knew they were trying to dumb him during the draft for picks guess its to late
Scott K
It may not be to late, it looks as though the skins found a replacement for Haynesworth, maybe something will happen soon?Quote:Redskins signed DE Vonnie Holliday, formerly of the Broncos.Holliday is 34, but was one of the most productive per-snap 3-4 ends in the game last season, so he's certainly worth a look as a rotational body. He also has experience in the 3-4 as a five-technique with the Dolphins and Broncos. The more interesting aspect of this addition is that it could be a sign the 'Skins are still trying to trade Albert Haynesworth. SI's Ross Tucker is hearing that talks between the Vikings and Redskins are still alive.
bassNspear
anyone hearing anything on this?
Scott K
Just that Washington wont let him go, unless they get back some good value for him, since they just cut a $21 million check to him a month ago. They are claiming they would trade him, but they just want equal value in return. Good luck on that!
JBMasterAngler
Trading t-junk sounds like a good deal Then the redskins will have the junior varsity mcnabb holding the clipboard for the real deal.
we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Rick Posted May 25, 2010 we are 'the leading edge' HSO Creators Share Posted May 25, 2010 You think Tarvaris is that good a value the Redskins will covet him as fair value for Haynesworth JBM You think much more highly of him than I do. That's for sure Not sure why you show so much class with your name calling though.
JBMasterAngler
Tavaris Junkson isn't his real name? That's all I've heard everyone call him since he's been here! Is that a fair trade? Not by a longshot! But the redskins have never been known for good deal making since shneider has taken over.
TR21HP
Haynesworth, the baggage carrier, is rising to new heights as he is being sued by an exotic dancer in Miami for failing to provide any financial support for their yet to be born child. Thats not what the Vikings need right now. Besides, the Redskins think so well of him they are replacing him with a ham an egger - Vonnie Holiday! C'mon Man. Forget this nonsense, it's ridiculous. Dave S
The Haynesworth/Stripper story came up on 93X the other day. Haynesworth allegedly told the "dancer" that he would provide for her and the kid when it's born but has had no contact with her since March. If I remember right, she's looking for $10 Mil.
