Waders

I'm looking around for some new waders. I'm not a heavy user or avid fly fisherman, but I do need some for my trips to AK and some spring and early fall fly fishing in some of the small lakes around my area. I was up at Gander yesterday and I see that they only carry Frogg Togg brand waders. I've never seen them before. Price is about $150.00. Does anybody have these and how well do they hold up?

Hit Northwest Outlet and get some good waders at about 1/2 the price man. I got my neoprene waders there last year for $85.

I think i've seen their logo in some fly fishing mags but thats as far as that goes. Hit fleet farm you can probably get a good set of hodgman neo's for around 85

Many of the Gander stores are wader heavy in stock, many brands and price ranges. If you can't find the make and model in your local Gander ask the staff to check for your size in other stores in the company and they can get them in for you. You can buy them on the spot and have them shipped to your location in 3 days.

Many models on clearance right now, very good waders in fact, in various weights and/or boot or stoking-foot models. Wader boots are on clearance too, just ask.

Ed that doesnt do ya any good if you cant try them on in store. I know what your saying but I think most people want to see and try things like waders on before buying them.

Understood, yet one generally buys a set of waders 1 size over there street shoe size, or in the same size as your street shoe in an ankle fit type boot model. Ask for that set to be transferred in, they likely will, if your very interested.

Not all model waders will be stocked in all stores, due to sales did not show it's value to do so, so they lines get thinned. I too do not agree with this many times but the guy on the flood in the store has noting to say/do about that...keep that in mind.

do a search for frogg togg outlet. I believe its a advertisement at bottom of first page on your search. I bought froggs for $12 shipped per half.
