Well my friend Josh and I made it down to the expo to pick up the mount of my 61" fish. I can't begin to say how impressed I am with the way it turned out, the colors and attention to detail are unbelievable.

I took a good look at that coffee table and I had no idea that it was the infamous 61"er.. Shows how odservent I am.. I was impressed with the quality of the woodwork on the coffee table! Whoever made that did a very nice job..

Can I ask what that cost??? I would love one just like it.. Mine will probably be a little shorter though..

Nice,,, one thing though is did he have a picture of the other side of the fish????? just curious??? dont meen to point that out but I had him do one for me as well and same thing,, replica of the other side of the fish??? I dont know much about the replicas but arent they supposed to have the same markings,scars, that the fish does????

i saw the fish at the show too, very nicely done in the case/coffee table. the thing i noticed about it was how friggin wide it was across the back, i thought that was cool, nice fish indeed.

i'm sure if you really want the scars and split fins on your replica he could paint them in, probably doesn't even charge extra

Did he see your pic bfore he painted it? Not to sound like an antagonist, but I would not accept that replication of the markings from the pic you provided (here). LAX does great work but I don't think it looks like the pic, especially the anal fin. Awesome fish irregardless! BTW I am jealous also.
