New DSD Decoy?

I am thinking of getting a DSD hen turkey decoy and I was wondering which model to get,the upright, feeding or the submissive model?

Your choice entirely, i picked up an upright hen this winter. She looks even better than my old full body carrylite from the early 80's.

She's now fondly called Loretta!

Those Dave Smith decoys are pretty sweet. Spendy, but very realistic. I'd probably go with the upright hen. She's the most visible. Unless you go with the submissive jake, then I'd probably try the breeding hen. A cheaper alternative would be to check out the new Delta H.S. Strut hard-body dekes. I picked up Jezebel and I think it'll help considerably getting those wary birds within bowrange. Glass eyes & a nice heavy duty stake.

I had an agitated hen try kick the dickens out of my NEW DSD this morning. I was just about to run her off when she quit. She chose the DSD over 3 other hen decoys I had deployed (1 delta, 2 carrylites).

Jeez, they're like $120. Are they really that good? I'd think by the time a tom gets close enough to tell the difference, he'd be close enough.

Donbo, I'll tell ya in a few weeks how good she is. Just hope I can keep old Loretta from getting beat up every time out.

Wallydog, What DSD model did you get, I bought the slightly upright hen and after talking with the guy from the decoy sled I bought the feeding hen also, they look better than my stuffer!!

I got the upright model.

She looks as good as a stuffer!
