Oil Usage?

My Polaris Fusion 900 is using about 2 qts of oil per 70 miles of riding. Should I be looking for a problem or is this normal? It's not producing any more smoke than would be expected. I'm running VES Gold 2.

I know these sleds had their problems, but this one has had extensive fixes done, purrs like a kitten, no vibration, etc.

Sounds excessive to me. I use about a quart to every tankful of gas. Works out to about 120 miles give or take.

I use about a gallon every 600 or so miles.

My M1000 isn't shy about consuming oil, I don't know if its 2 quarts per 70 miles but I don't think it's too far from that.

my 2003 XC 600 use about 1 quart pr 110 miles. but would rather have it use more oil then less oil i would hate to score a piston if its not using enough. if i were u i would call your local polaris dealer and see what they say.

I actually bumped mine up a hair from what it was. Dyno tests have shown on the 600 HO Ski Doo motors that they can actually get more HP with a bit more oil.

That sounds excessive and expensive. I'd get it looked at.
