Whopper Stopper
This winter I traded a well used Polaris Sportsmen 500 for a new (2009) Yamaha grizzly 700. The 700 was brand new and equipped with a blade. Today I took the blade off being winter is over and was getting ready to turn my attention to wood splitting. Anyway I noticed that there wasn't a receiver hitch in the front. I called the dealer to find out how people push stuff around and also find out what I needed to buy. I was told that Yamaha doesn't offer a front receiver either factory or after market. Does this sound right to you people?I always pushed my splitter, boat, or wood chipper around. Besides the back rack being in the way, the rear hitch is too low to hook any of my stuff up. Anyhow I am in need of some ideas. If I had known that I probably would have kept my Polaris. Thanks for any replies! WS
BehindtheHead
you could make a longer hitch and a riser for the back to get the rack out of the way. there has to be a way to mount a frount recever. you just might have to make it yourself. if you can pull with a winch you can pull with a recever. vister
never seen any wheeler with a hitch on the front, other than the one grandpa made so he could tow his behind farm equipment to the fields so he could ride it home at night.
Whopper Stopper
Thanks for the replies. I went the home fabrication route and am happy with how it turned out. For things like the wood splitter it is much handier hooking to the front and pushing the splitter rather than trying to back it around. I guess the same could be said for putting my boat into my shed. Anyway thanks again! WS
