Ottertail

Recommended Posts

I didn't want to take over the Muskie boat thread ...

There are quite a few Muskies in Ottertail already, not a fishable population by any means but they are in there. It is connected to West Battle by Balmoral Creek and it is only about a 7-8 mile swim. I have also heard rumors of some guys putting a few in there illigally years ago. Ot would be a great Muskie fishery but I doubt they are going to stock Muskies in a lake that has a walleye hatchery. Just a thought...

i've seen a couple muskies caught from the OT river. Clear water and ton of rough fish in the OT, i'm sure they would get massive if there was actually a fishable population

If the dirty, rotten, no good, stinking Sioux win the frozen 4, I will change my handle picture to their Logo.

Well you wont see me on OT, but if I see you at the access on my lake in DL, with that shirt on you will be looking for you boat plug.

Yes, great. In 1991 I talked to a DNR in that blanche creek area he was watching a muskie in the culvert. They go east battle to blanche to Ottertail correct with a little umph in the spring they could make rush and the river again etc., it would be a great chain, but understand that area being a major walleye hotspot ?
