scsavre
I agree, I thought Hill was the best team on the ice. That is why it was a joke that they got the #4 seed. Is this at least the second time Edina has snuck in to win the day after a really late and long overtime win. Minnatonka wasnt all that inpressive, but you have to be a little tired when you play 3 periods and 4 ots. North vs south wouldnt work. Unfortunately there isnt enough talent or teams up north. It will stay A and AA as it should.
Quackaddict9
Yes, I hate to say it but Hill Murray probably my favorite private school to watch and played the best hockey all weekend...I really like their coach Bill Lechner though. Also I thought that Duluth East was another great team in the tournament as well. Minnetonka did have a strong conference/section and only lost once and that was to Edina, but their overall play this weekend did not look as good their record was.For class A, Breck was really fast and strong on the far side beating the Defense almost every time. I would've liked to see Warroad in the finals but they had a great year finishing 3rd in Class A.
scsavre
Class A just needs to weed out the first round of terrible teams. After that it is fun Hockey, that Maht vs Herm game was very fun. I thought DE was a good team as well. We will see Hill again next year, that was a pretty good goalie and they had quite a few good young players and their JV team was 22-1 or some ridiculous record. That number 6 was a very well positioned Dman for Hill - I wonder if he has a college yet. I agree Gardnier was lazy out there. Perfect for Lucia as he seems to have no enforcement of effort out there.
