Dave S
I would stick with Polaris demand drive hub fluid (part No. 2871654), or ATF Type F.

aczr2k
Lep7mm, the front hub fluid is not API GL5 80-90, but your part number is correct. I just didn't want somebody to see the 80-90wt and get confused thinking they could use that instead of the actual Polaris oil. That being said, I would only use the Polaris oil, we've had Polaris wheelers for years and have never had a hub problem, but the oil is changed frequently and always with Polaris oil. ratherbefishin
I just found a broken wire on my wheeler just below the head light i think its a brown/white or just brown wire . I still need to reapir the wire right and take for a test drive. My 4wd light now lights up with the wire twisted back together.I will fix right tonight and reply back with my results. I hope this helps????

ratherbefishin
well i got mine goin, just a broken wire under the headlight area. You should change the fluid then retry and you can also check resistance at the coil in the hub with a ohm meeter. my 02 sportsman says it should be 24 ohms at the gray and brown with white tracer wire . these wires i did find on mine under the head light with plugs you can take apart and check.Good luck
