Slow start to 2010 season?

I am getting excited for the upcoming season and hope the Twins jump out and pick up a lot of early wins. It seems we find ourselves having to dig out of a hole every year that we create for ourselves in April and May.

Those early games are important, and I hope the Twins make the most of them for a change.

Well the nice thing is we have Mauer to start the season this year. I am assuming Justin M will be 100% by opening day. We should be in good shape for the beggining of the season. I am excited for it to get started myself.

Looks like the best lineup we've had in years. I think even the pitching is gonna be pretty good. A little new blood and several coming back from injuries that should be able to help us out. I'm really looking forward to the season too...and I've got tickets to Opening Day!!!

Shaver was talking about Liriano again this morning. Reports from him and others are that he is close to coming back to 2006 form. If he's even 80% the starter he was that year, we will win a few extra games for sure. I hope it to be true. The #5 spot last year was a glaring hole with mix and match tactics down the stretch.

Our team outlook is better than ever so far. I just hope the guys stay healthy here in the next few weeks.

i take Liriano back with a grain of salt i just dont know about him, i think hes gotta mentally get back first

Mijares was a no-show again. You'd think after last year he'd have it figured out. Guess not. If he comes back today overweight and out of shape again he might be out of here.

Neshek says he feels good. His fastball is touching 90 mph already. Hope he'll be back in form. That'd be a BIG boost to the bullpen.

Delmon Young came in 30 lbs lighter than last year. He joked "with Pavano on the staff, I'll have to catch fly balls on the warning track."

Really looking forward to the new season!

This is defiantly the most exciting spring training that I can remember. We have a lot of potential this year. I dont know if it is enough to beat the Yankees, but the best Twins team in many years.

Mijares is to good to just ship out of here, but he definatly isn't putting himself in good favor with the team.
