Bird hunting game farms

Need some advice on a good game farm to take a young lab. to on her first hunt. Want one that would be like the areas that we hunt in SW Minn. Any good shooting preserves come to mind? Thanks in advance.

I'll go with Traxlers Hunting Preserve in Le Center. First hunt is free-meaning you don't have to pay a "club use fee", still have to pay for birds. I think the bird fee is a little less than the non-member price at the "other club" in the area. Plus, each hunter in you group does not have to pay a daily fee to use the club. This might not be an issue if you are going by yourself, but if your bringing some friends, it adds up. Lots of snow on the ground, might want to let the snow melt a bit before you go to one.

Caribou and Traxlers get my vote down here but it looks like you might live up by Brainerd. Not sure of what is up there for game farms. Willow Creek Kennels in Little Falls may be one to check out. They are by all accounts top notch dog trainers and my guess is their game farm operation is also of similar quality.

major ave hunt club in Biscay might be an option they have a couple of different fields, offer both chukars & pheasants.(between Hutchinson & Glencoe)320 864-6025

they also have a kennel on property & might have some pigeons for training.

I have been to the ridge up by Little Falls, they had good dogs and reasonably priced birds. It is near the Leblance's rice creek they also have good dogs a nice club house and a good sporting clay course.
