To me if a second rod has a small bobber, light tip, or spring bobber on it and is sitting on a bucket, in a holder or on the floor inactive. It is a dead stick! It is not actively being worked and just sitting Dead still! Dead. wink

The Jason Mitchel Meatstick has been my deadstick rod of choice. I haven't used a bobber in years for icefishing. My rod-holder is the tip-down variety, with the soft tip on the Meatstick, I've even been avoiding spring bobbers.

So reading all this mumbo jumbo, is'nt my properly "Lubed" tip up considered a "Dead Stick", or "Meat Stick" and when the flag goes up can I assume the "Blue Pill" has kicked in?

IMO, LOL, and all the other text short cuts that show up here. Just my .02 worth.
