what is a DEADSTICK in ice fishing?

To me if a second rod has a small bobber, light tip, or spring bobber on it and is sitting on a bucket, in a holder or on the floor inactive. It is a dead stick! It is not actively being worked and just sitting Dead still! Dead.

But the rod mentioned in the first post is for deadsticking, not for a spring bobber or a float!!! It's a common misconception!

So reading all this mumbo jumbo, is'nt my properly "Lubed" tip up considered a "Dead Stick", or "Meat Stick" and when the flag goes up can I assume the "Blue Pill" has kicked in?
