looking to go to tonkas greys bay or bald eagle in white bear tomorrow wondering if anyone had any idea how much ice is out there and is it safe to drive? Or if you just want to put what lakes you have been on and what the ice is like feel free. It useful info for everyone.

Plenty of ice everywhere to be safe to drive on, unless you come upon a spring or area with some current. If you are uncertain, stay on main roads that other vehicle traffic uses and you should be fine.

I would stay off the lakes its febraury and there is only about 30" of ice maybe by march there will be enough I like to see at least 48" before I walk out there!

no one can say the ice is 100% safe no matter what the thickness. Chode2235 is correct with his advice. Learn about the lake you are going to fish for currents or springs. years back a bunch of mallards kept a spot in the middle of weaver lake open well into january. the ice thickness varies from lake to lake.
