Which lake in MN holds the largest Lakers?

I'm not much of a laker seeker, at least not since I went to school in Ely 36 years ago, but there is one lake that I am mighty surprised has not been mentioned. And no, I'm not gonna be the one to mention it.

Actually out of the very meager number of lakers that I have iced, 90% are out the lake you are referring to but nope that is not the one I had in mind.

I sent an e-mail to the DNR asking if they had any record of what the biggest inland laker was. They said they don't have any records, but the biggest this guy personally knew of was a 37.5 pound beast out of mountain lake (canadian border/BWCA).

It is too bad that there isn't a different class, as IMO it is much easier for a fish to get really big in Superior.
