I don't think you can go wrong with either one if you can still get a clam with the heavy duty sled. I have an X2 and love it but it is too light inside if you want to spear or sightfish out of it.

I bought the frabill this year because it's the darkest inside I found. I don't think either of them are bad but I spear out of my portable and the clams let in too much light.

They dont make the X2 anymore. I bought one last spring and love it!

No return business. The new fishtrap line looks like the sled will break if you sit on them when they are cold.
