The Otter Sleds are VERY durable. But I have a Clam X2 and the sled seems like it's a better quality than some of the newer sleds from Clam. See if you can get a deal on last years X2, but I'm sure you can't go wrong with either brand. They're both MN companies. Otter is in Maple Lake, Clam is in Medina.

I have to laugh at the comments about the Otter and Clam X2 sleds. I will say that I agree that those two are the most durable on the market.

In 1 weekend our group had the bottom of an Otter sled crack the entire length of the sled, and an X2 sled got a 2 square foot chunk ripped out it where the hitch attaches. Also had a clam guide sled crack on the bottom, but was under much less harsh conditions and never saw the abuse the other two sleds took.

I love my clam Yukon. I have never had a problem with it and have recently done some mods to it, now it fits my every need while out on the ice. I fished in the otter lodge and like it a lot as well. The pros for Otters in my opinion would be (sqaure poles a little more ridged) (the windows have the option to be screened or fully open) I like that option for throwing fish out or just passing stuff out and in. And the biggest pro of the otter would be the seats!!! SO nice!!! The clam is a very nice unit and I got a great deal on it but I would shoot for an otter if the price will be close.
