First time success!

Thanks guys been reading all these posts for about a week, lots of insite here. Made my first trip out today, with a brand new home built darkhouse, a Tom Richardson(MI) spear, and a single 13" live sucker deek. Set up about an hour and no fish. Dad shows up and he's not in the house for three min. and a northern comes screaming in and inhales the deek, I gave her a little bit of time to come back into the hole and nailed her right behind the head with the center tine! New addict here! I have even begun carving a couple of my own deeks.

First of all welcome to the spearing forum and to HSO these are a great bunch of guys we got here and it seems that you already know from info you got here and put to use and got some great sucess spearing. Becareful this is a strong addiction your dealing with and the carving oh yea thats another addiction in its self and there are some really awsome carvrs on this forum as well.
