Bait question

Hey guys,

My roommate asked me if anyone ever fished with leeches in the winter. I didn't have an answer for him...I've never heard of anyone using them, and I haven't really seen them at the bait shops...not that I've looked for them either. I also wasn't sure if the leeches survived the cold water/weather.

Anyone use em?

i havent seen them in the bait shop and i havent used them. I would guess that they would curl up into a little ball cuz of the cold water.never know i guess.

I've never used leeches in the winter, but did find crawlers in the early winter and tried them. They got pretty stiff.

your right north they just curl up

and dont move i believe

they burrow themselves in mud in the winter

Swimbait2009, I fished with a LEACH a couple of times, many years ago...but, once I figured him out, I quit asking him to go along. AS quick as I dropped him, he sucked onto someone else. Never heard from him again!! Funny how that works. Phred52
