Check your vent stacks..

Sewer gass central this morning. Both stacks iced over shut. YUCK!!! PITA getting up on the roof to clear them out, but glad I did. The smell was brutal down stairs.....

I smell what you're stepping in.

The other day I checked my furnace intake/outlet. Almost plugged. While I was at it I decided to climb up on the roof and check the stink pipe. Good thing I did as it was almost frozen shut. Couple pans of warm water later and the ishy is flowing good.

It gets real icky when the stink pipe freezes shut.

I got a emergency call on Sat right when I was getting ready to head to the lake water heaters not working in a apartment building,so I drive the work van down there and do some checking they told me they checked the vents and they were not plugged with ice so I check the condensate drain that was fine go outside look at the exaust vents they were clear but notice they didn't go the extra 5 feet and check the intake and guess what compleatly iced over cleaned the screen and headed home too late to head to the lake
