I second the showdown 5.6. Fished in a 4-man sleeper on URL last wknd and we were running a showdown, FL18, FL20, marcum lx-3. I had no issues.

the only problem with my lx-5 and fl-8 was I could not adjust the gain on the lx-5 to not show my buddys jig.. I would turn down the gain to the point of almost not seeing my jig to get rid of it. any suggestions?

Fatcat, just hit the NBT button, and it will most likely go awa. The benefit of a dual x-ducer of the lx5.

You can easily eliminate that...first off ONLY the Vex experiencing the interference issues needs to be adjusted...don't cycle both units IR function at the same time.

Simply tap the IR on the Vexilar unit that is experiencing the cross talk interference tell it disappears...and your good.

Great Reply Ed... and I agree 100%. Keep your transducer just above the bottom of the hole... that should help keep reflection down to a minimum as well.

Every year three of us go to LOW and fish a LX-5, LX-3 and FL-8 all in a 8X10 house... and while it takes adjusting on two units, we can always get it to the point that it's usable and the cross talk interference isn't an issue.

We had 3 fl20's 1 fl18 and my lx5 in a 8x16 this last weekend...worked great after a little fine tuning.

We had a FL-8 a FL-12 and my FL-20 in a 10 x 20 on Upper Red this weekend no problems.
