Wondering what you guys have been doing with yours? I want to get mine all situated on my Polaris X2 box... Any suggestions? Or is there a better way without buying all the fancy otter stuff to go along with it?

The $20 gun rack (Mad Dog at FF) has been all that I have needed. I use heavier bungies and don't even take the auger off the wheeler when it is in the trailer. The Otter looks expensive but looks to work well (with the exception of the big profile).

It was just some flat alum stock, maybe 3/8", for the arms and a couple of round 3/4 rings I had made in the shop to go around the ice shield. I used velcro straps to "tighten" the rings around the ice shield. If I wanted to remove the ice shield, I just undid the velcro straps. It worked well. Now I have the Monster Box and the Ice Shield that slides onto the box.

Another way is to drill a hole(s) into the ice shield and bolt it on somewhere, using a large fender washer on the inside. The Ice Shield is pretty strong. Here, one bolt mounted towards the upper center and we just used a strap on the bottom so the ice shield wouldn't spin around. Worked out very well.

Yeah, Otter rivits their own adapter onto the shield for the monster box. It would be pretty easy, if you have a hard box, to put a couple bolts through and clamp that onto the side. A couple big washers would be all you would need.
