Vex charge problem

The light on my charger is red or green. Obviously, shows green when fully charged.

Yup it's just black with the aligator clips. I have a battery indicator when it's off the charger. I have the fl-18 propack.

What I've heard is 1 hour of use = 2 hours of charge. General rule and not charge for over 24 hours.

They do make some smart charger that will not overcharge.

My charger is lighting up red when the clips are not hooked up. When I hook the clips up the light goes off. So I caint really figure it out.

The light goes out when you first hook the charger to the battery. As it charges the light gets brighter. When it gets as bright as it can the battery should be fully charged.

The light comes back on after the battery is at full charge.

Oh ok well I charged it all night and just got home from work and Gander(picked up a battery status indicator) still no light on the charger but the indicator says its 100% so maybe my charger is just broke

Do yourself a big favor and get the marcum digital charger. it will give you an exact %%readout to what their is and what is needed.I have an FL-18 and a FL- 20 . the best advice I got on this site is to take this route. [PoorWordUsage] lights are just that. I've emailed vex many times and suggested thy provide a similar option. They don't listen to me however. At the end of the day you can hook it up and see exactly how much you;ve used and how much you've got left to use. best thirty- forty buck i've spent in a long time.

I have an old Vex charger without the lights and it works okay, just doesn't charge as fast. I also have two with the red/green lights and they're pretty bullet-proof and [PoorWordUsage]-proof. They indicate charging, fully charged, wrong connection, and bad battey. Just read the directions;they're good.

Ok mine has the red light, from vexilar. No light and it is charging, red light means it is charged.

HOWEVER.... I have 2 batteries that never will make it go to red on the charger, but both work fine after around a 6 hour charge.
