My Homemade Lenscoat for the 100-400 and the 400

Recommended Posts

I just will not pay $80.00 for a Lenscoat and I looked for camo neoprene on line but did not like the patterns they offered so I decide that my gloves would get chopped up to make what I wanted. The gloves are from the big C outdoor store and were in the bargain cave for $15.00 and they are fleece lined with all the great looking patterns. I was able to cut off enough for 1 lens from 1 pair of gloves and had enough leftover to cover my 1.4 teleconverter and my 25mm tube. I just had to stitch it up with some 50# Dacron fishing line and then take a Sharpie to camo the thread. The gloves are really made to pick up decoys so when I was through cutting off what I needed they were still good neoprene gloves but just a little shorter.
