Easy Snap guard for jiffy 9"

I'm sure a lot of you have the Easy Snap for your augers. Maybe I'm missing something, but I picked one up today and it will not fit on my older model 30 9" Jiffy. Yes I have the right size, but I can't figure out why it won't snap onto the bottom of the auger like it says it's suppose to. Is it possible that it only fits the newer augers and I'll have to resort to the old rubber bungy yet again? Anyone have a similar experience? Thanks

It will need to be off-set from the blades to fit in the Snap Cap. If the blade hits the ridge inside the cap, it will not snap in properly.

Once you note the proper position, it is easy to do.

yep, it wont fit yours. The bottom of your auger is likely rounded, and the newer ones are flat on the bottom. Trust me, I tried getting one for my 8 inch last winter and had to return it cause I had the same problem. So until they come out with one for the older models looks like were stuck with the bungy that we all love.

Huh? What style Snap Cap did you try..the one with the rubber band or the Pro Cap with the steel snap clips on the side?

Heck StrikeMaster has one too now...if for some reason neither of the Jiffy Caps fits yours, you may wish to try there cap and see it that will. Not a clue if it may...curious if it will none the less?

I bought the one with the rubber band because they didn't have the 9" with the clips. I wonder if the new line with the clips will work? Well I'll keep trying different products. I sure appreciate the feedback from everyone! Good luck fishing
