fr0sty
My tags are filled. I hunted regular firearms and muzzle loader. My friend and his neighbor are going muzzy hunting this weekend and want me to join their party. What I am reading in the regs is that I must have a license in my possession while afield. Since I filled my tags, I don't have a license. I believe I can legally hunt with their party, but am not sure how to carry a license, since my tags are filled. Musky Buck
Frosty you should still have the top portion of your muzzy license. The RM09-M, the piece with your name, address, town,DOB,and the bottom of that piece should read 203 Res Muzzleloader Deer and then where you signed your license, not your tags but the top piece to your license ? Is this correct guys ? I do see a hole on this piece like it could be affixed to an animal, but I think the registration people give you this top portion back I think ? My muzzy tag is gone, but I have that top portion.
JBL21
You should still have your license. Your tag is what you cut out the month/date/am or pm. If you have a legal license(valid for the season) you are legal to hunt with and shoot deer for them, unless a youth is hunting with an either or license in a doe permit lottery area. Then you can not shoot their doe for sure, possibly(can't remember off the top of my head) their deer at all. Might be other youth restrictions also. Musky Buck
Some have said without saying I'd hate to hunt next to you meaning me. Well frosty if you recall I mentioned you guys could drive my land the last day of rifle and muzzy and that's still A-OK. If you are staying in Stearns you certainly could call R.J and tell him to go at it if they want to or if they have any tags left. See fellers, if you hunted next to me you could drive my land rifle and muzzy, I haven't gotten too many offers like that. jk guys, take care and shoot straight and watch out for Yetti's. fr0sty
Thanks Guys. Luckily I saved that stuff with my possession tag. I will dig it out when I get home.
Bear55
You should still have part of your license. 1/2 of your license is a site tag, 1/4 is for registration and the other 1/4 is to hang onto. If you don't have this you might be able to tell a CO you lost your license and give them your DNR number or drivers license and they might be able to look you up. I would double check the regs about not having a license in possession while hunting.
