How do you wash your Ice Armor bibs?

the tag says hand wash only, do not dry when wet. Umm......

I don't wash mine because it only comes out on special occassions . LOL

Just let it drip dry or hang to dry after you handwash it .

Just wipe them down with a warm wet towel when you get home to get the slime n stuff off them.

I recommend conservative amounts of a powdered detergent, and avoid liquid concentrated detergents as they tend to remove waterproofing. Same is true with anything Gore Tex, avoid liquid detergents. Cool to warm water, mild to gentle cycle.

The more you wash them, the less windproof they will eventually become, so limit washing and wipe them off more than wash them.

A Product called ReviveX is very good for waterproofing and windproofing most gear of this style. It is especially made for Gore Tex, but I also use it on my Vexilar Cold Snap Suits and other gear with very good results.

Best practices recommended for use of ReviveX.

1. Machine wash with or without powdered detergent. If garment is washed with detergent, rinse twice.

2. Spray Place the wet garment on a hanger. Shake bottle well. Hold 6" - 12" from the garment and spray the exterior of the garment.

3. Tumble Dry. Dry separately on medium heat for 50 minutes. Do not air dry. (The heat seals in the ReviveX and produced the waterproof but breathable seal you wish.)

ReviveX also has a system for boots, also very effective.
