Lake of the Woods Will Be a Walleye Hot Spot for Years to Come!!!!

I also wanted to share this with you…Tom (the owner of the Wigwam Resort) and I yesterday attended a meeting with the DNR and got some great, that might be to light, FANTASTIC news about the Walleye and Sauger populations and year classes that we will be fishing for this winter and years to come. The fact is, the Walleye population is on the rise and the Sauger population is through the roof. This is great news for all Lake of the Woods lovers and anyone looking for the best lake to fish. We are very excited about this and I believe this will drive many to Lake of the Woods for years to come. I would like to thank the DNR, all the people associated with the MN Fishery, and most of all the guests that come to fish Lake of the Woods. With the current slot size and current limits, Lake of the Woods will thrive for years and years. It is up to all of us to make sure that we are a contributing factor to its success…this is awesome news for all anglers alike!

I'm headed for LOTW the end of january, now i read this and it's making me twitch, i wanna be there right now, i hope the fish are still kickin butt when i get there. To all you who live up there i'm seriously jealouse.
