And just had to buy one for this years season. i opend it up and seen a hole under the mouth and under the tail. just wondering what they are for? merkman Posted December 7, 2009 Share Posted December 7, 2009 With the holes they swim correctly.The bear creeks are hollow plasticThe holes allow water to enter the cavity inside the decoy so it will sink.If it were sealed they would have to weigh them down more and if they ever cracked they would not work as well.
