JohnMickish
I've been in a Cajun once. It floated, kept the water out and was ok I thought. For this year of boat don't expect it to be a new Z520. I would be much more concerned about the motor than the boat. What does it have for a motor? Meat-Run
Cajuns never really took off up here in MN but back in the day they were solid boats and fast too. The hulls are very good but like someone else stated it's the motor I would be worried about. Get a compression test and find out if was ever rebuilt. Also look for hair line cracks on the transom if it looks good you should be fine. Post pictures and let us see what your dealing with that would help too.mr
JohnMickish
Depending on what the value of your wheeler is, I'd say you are trading for the motor and the boat just happens to be attached to it. Make sure the boat passes a compression AND leakdown test, as well as presure test the lower unit. Make sure it runs well and dosen't need any carb work. If I where you, this would be worth spending a couple hundred bucks to get it checked out my a competent marine shop. If you are not hidding anything with the wheeler the owner can do the same on your trade, or you can split the cost. It would suck pretty bad to trade for it, only to find out it's not usable, and you get stuck with a junk motor and a boat you can't use.

JohnMickish
IMO for that wheeler you can get more boat/motor. Take a look at that big online auction place to see what you would get for your toy, then take a look there or at dealers websites to see what kind of boat you can get for that money. This time of year the scales are really tipped in your favor. Sell high, buy low.

Larson15
NO WAY! Your wheeler is worth around 7k and that Cajun is worth about 3500!
mozy
I agree. Depending on the condition of your ATV, you should be able to get around $7k. You can find pretty nice boats with newer motors and the same HP for that kind of money. Google BBC, it's a bass boat forum and has boat listings. This should give you an idea of what you could get with $7k.
NTW
Good advice guys. That would be a great deal for the guy looking to dump that boat for a nice ATV! If you can sell the ATV for $7k like mozy suggests, you should be able to buy a quality boat upwards of 18ft, around 10 years old. You may have to do some driving though. Larson15
This is a good time of year to sell a wheeler and a bad time to sell a boat! I would sell that wheeler outright. You got all winter to look for a boat. I would check clist and classibass for a bass boat
