BigRoy
I need some help picking out a new spear for the year. I am currently using a lazer cut one that works o.k. however the handle is heavy and has poor weight balance. So santa needs some help picking out the new spear-what are your recomendations? I prefer a wider spear and havent been shopping yet. Thanks
merkman
You could start your search here. http://www.fishdecoys.net/pages/spearbios/SpearBios.htm it is a non profit informational site that shows many spears and their makers. If you were real nice this year you might end up with something that looks something like this.

merkman
I am not sure. You could google and talk to him.But be fore warned:In a year's time he makes between 100 and 150 spears. His phone rings 12-months a year, and he has people on a six-month waiting list. Depending on the design, it takes him anywhere from eight to 50 hours to make a spear. mfabeck
He makes about 5 a year now most are donated localy for raffles and actions. He has a long list about 2yrs out but worth gettin on. He is the local fire chief, owns a steel fab shop, and has a family. He like making them just does't have the time yet.
HavocTec
I bought a spear from him a few years back. It says it was the 21st one he made. Let me tell you that this thing is one awesome arrow. I have never used one that flys as straight. I think at the time I paid 100 bucks. IMO that was cheap and would pay alot more for one that was made this well. Just my 2 cents. mfabeck
I'm booked for this year but the heartland chapter raffles 4 of them each year, and a Kreamer spear at their banquet. Greenwald rod and gun club raffles one in the spring. Just trying to help.
