Lake Trout Lures of Choice

Hello All,

I am planning on doing a lot of Laker fishing this year. I am looking for some help on "must haves" as far as lure selection goes. I did pretty well with spoons last year but don't want to limit myself to just that offering. Specifics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

4" white and glow tubes with 3/8 - 1/2 leads is all you need where we are and seem to work about everywhere.

4" Gulp! Minnows or 5" Gulp! Jerk Shads should be on anyones list that fishes lakers through the ice.. Pearl White is my fav.. Team them on a weight forward jig head, like a Fin-Tech Zone-R or a Kalin's Swim Bait jig head.. Deadly!!
