Nils Blade Cover?

FISHINGURU

Recommended Posts

I just pulled my Nils and the cutting heads out of the shed. One cover was not attached to the cutting head. Seems if I have the middle knob in the rubber bungee between the back hole and the head solid in the holder, it holds just fine. I believe I could throw it on the ground and it would still hold the head. Seems tere is only one way to install it nand it will hold fine.

i used to do it how you have pictured surface tension but when i pull it in my portable and it moves or slides around a bit i cut the cord...my cord is 1 hard pull or slice away from being in half lol.

I lost mine in transport. They really need to come up with a better cover than that. I remember trying to put that thing on at night one time bare handed, and I ended up slicing a couple of fingers open. Geez, those blades are like a samurai sword. Surprised I didn't cut the ends of my fingers straight off!

If Ron Ponpeil(informercial personality) owned an ice auger, this would be the one!

When you get it on right a person should take a Sharpie and make some marks on the back side of the cutting head and the cover for easy alignment when its dark because it has one way to go on correctly and messing around with a blade that is that sharp is a little scary.
