+1 for SM great customer service - Can't go so far as to say best since I have only had to use ice fishing company customer service with a few others.

Also had good luck with Vexilar, and Marcum (used them before they were bought out).

I just pick up a Solo Magnum today. I'm looking forward to giving it a whirl. Time to put the Jiffy model 31 up for sale, kinda sad to see her go because it was one of the first things I bought for ice fishing but from what I've been hearing using Solo will ease the pain.

JSK76, if you can afford it, maybe you want to keep the Jiffy. I have a Model 30 that has been very reliable for quite a few years. I would like one of those Strikemasters with the Solo engine too, but I think I want to keep the Jiffy. For one, it's been a great auger, and two, having a spare for "just in case" would be nice.

I just don't know if I could bring myself to get rid of the old girl.

I also just got a magnum a couple weeks ago and can't wait to get er out on the ice. SM does a great job with its dvd and everything to get started with your new unit. They also do an awesome job donating to the fishing tournements as well. Keep up the great work.
