swedishpimple
I made a post earlier about being denied access to track a deer. Now the depression is bugging me. I am 30 now and have hunted from age 12. I have shot a number of deer and 1 ok buck. Yesterday I lost a real nice one, by far the nicest I have had a chance to get, and I had several shots to close the deal and just could not. The salt in the wound was not being allowed to go and finish him off.Have you guys ever felt not not wanting to hunt anymore for the season??I feel like....to heack with it...that was my shot and I blow it....maybe next year the deer Gods will be with me...but he is gone..and another won't be by.I almost feel sick over the deal. Matt Breuer
I've hit that low before. Keep your head up, and hope for better results next time out! What's the story? Were you hunting around Bemidji?
Heartman
When you step into the woods, that's part of the responsibility we all accept. Just like we all hope to make clean kills, there are times when it doesn't work out. IMO, your reaction shows you are an ethical hunter. Such is life - the good news is that usually does NOT happen - keep on working hard.
harvey lee
One will sometime in their hunting life loose one due to a missed or bad shot. Its not a great feeling but it happens.
