Tagged in 154(rifle,doe permit)can I still hunt bow?If so where?c63

I know I cannot tag another deer in the lottery zone(154)but I have an opportunity to hunt 156 which is a managed zone.Just want to make sure I can hunt with the bow for another deer?Thanks for any/all replies.c63

yes you can,just get a bonus antlerless tag...

I may have this wrong, but couldnt he still shoot a buck as long as it is with a bow tag? I thought it would have to be antlerless if it was a different section and he was still using a gun.

if he shot a doe with his firearms tag and then hunts a managed area with his bow and still has his either sex tag,i would say yes he can shoot a buck.if he wanted he could still get the bonus tag and fill that with another doe and save his either sex tag for a buck.

Can only shoot a doe with a bonus tag as the first deer(doe) was tagged with a anterless permit, witch had to be used with your primary tag. Can purchase a bonus tag and shoot a doe in a managed area or four does with bonus tags in an intensive area. The buck tag went when the primary tag was used with the alterless permit

there ya have it.i didn't realize you burned your buck tag when you use a doe permit.i don't hunt with a gun.

Chris, I just emailed the DNR because I am in the same boat as you. You can shoot a buck. Lottery areas are now off limits, and it cant be with a firearm, but you could shoot a buck in a managed or intensive area with your bow or a muzzleloader. It would then get tagged with your primary bow or ml tag. You could also shoot a doe and tag it with the same tag. Hope this helps.

Thank you for calling,I can shoot a buck (or another doe)with my bow tag but only in managed or intensive zones.I could buy another bonus tag but I want to go with bow only now,thanks to all replies!c63

I use a bonus tag with my bow. You can us them for either gun, or bow.
