acarroline
Where can i find information on taking small game with a handgun? I would like to use a 9mm for taking small game (squirrel, coyote, rabbit, etc...). What are the legal laws in regards to doing this in Mn and South Dakota? I do not have my CCW permit, but will be completing the course this winter.
picksbigwagon
In MN, I do not believe there is any regulations on what you can use to take small game.
paul pachowicz
Picks....I'm not sure on handgun hunting in So Dak and I don't have the reg handy. I know you can use em for any game but, there is a foot pound of energy restriction for big game. I'll fetch one tomorrow and check and let ya know. I do know that Minn does not re-cip with us on CCW but, I'll check to see if WE recip with you guys.
Neighbor_guy
In MN you can hunt small game with your handgun, as long as it is not conceled you do not need a permit to carry it in the woods. I am not sure about using it on fox/coyotes though, maybe durring daylight hours, but I beleave after dark it is shotgun only....
