Who's hunting by Hill City, MN

I have not been to the area we hunt since the second week of October. Has anyone been in the area? Do you think the rut will be in full swing?

Where abouts do you hunt Reilley? Our deer camp is west of Haypoint/Swatara. Do you ever make it down to the Corner Club?It's been a while since I was up there also. So I don't have much for info for you. Anyone else hunt the area?

We have a camp at the end of the Spang road (north of North of Hill City 3 miles) and we hunt north and west of the camp about 4 miles. We make it down to the corner club every year for a few cold ones.

My in-laws hunt/own a pile of land just west of the Corner Club. The big power lines cut across their land. I usually fill my tag with my dad about 10 miles north of Aitkin, then buy a bonus tag and try to help them out for a day or two on the 2nd or 3rd weekend. We're usually at the Corner Club at some point during grouse and deer season. New ownership this year though........

Almost forgot, I was down there weekend before last (October 24th/25th) helping work on deer stands and grouse/duck hunting. We saw a normal amount of deer sign, a ton of grouse, and no ducks. It sounds like the rut is really gearing up west of Aitkin from talking to some of my bow hunting buddies.

Own a cabin west of Swatara, deer are way down in the area. DNR lettin too many deer get shot, should be permit area. I'm up every weekend in the fall, maybe saw 10 deer. I think the rut will be peak. Good luck, let the does go.

Stop by the Corner Club the 14th, our local sportman's club will be holding their annual gun raffle that night. Usually a pretty good crowd that night.

Sounds like fun, anyone know of any good hunter hang outs about 40 miles north of hill city? We'll be hunting in the Wabana area.

The Lawrence Lake Legion on Scenic 7 would be a good place for a few cold beers.

We hunt south of Hill City and were up there scouting on the 24th and 25th of October and the sign was good. I think we'll be seeing the rut a little earlier than last year. The deer down in the cities seem to be moving, I'm starting to see alot of road kill.
