Would you pass this deal up in my situation?

So I was at a Pawn America and came across a Strikemaster Lazer Mag Express 8" auger for $200. I bought a basically new Strikemaster Mag 2000 8.25" for $225 last year (oddly from the same place) that runs great and I still own it.

Well, I bought the Express cause I couldn't pass up the deal and got it home and put new gas in it and she fired right up!

Would you have passed on this deal, or did I do what many of you would have done and bought it even though you already have a very good auger?

I guess its never bad to have a extra tool in the shed. If it comes down to it, in the middle of ice fishing season you could always sell the one you like the least for profit. Use the money to pay for a trip or get a piece of gear that you dont have.

good idea deadeye that was kinda my plan. I've been eyeing up a clam 5600 or aqua-vu!

Never thought of looking there for one! I would have done the same...nice to have an extra on a long trip!

Not to throw off the subject but they had a Mag 2000 I think it was a 10 inch for only $150 it has the metal gas cap but has the yellow compression button. Mid 2000's model is my guess. It was still there and probably still is. Hopkins Pawn America. (No I don't work there!) - Just if anyone is looking for a deal!

Good eye and a good grab. One never knows until you walk in to a good deal. Come season you could run into someone in need of a deal.

Ya I can see a trade in your future. Shelter for you, not being completly exhausted for someone else. It should all work out in the end.

Hopkins huh? That one is on blake rd right? I work down on hopkins crossroads. Gonna have to stop by after work tommorow night and check that out...A 10" would be nice for northerns.

I only have 1 auger and have no reason to own two. I guess if you could buy it cheap enough and then sell it for a profit, than I would go for it.
