tori's dad
I have a Yamaha Kodiak 400- I have been going to 5W oil during the cold weather season- I run 20 w 50 in the summer months. Just wondering if anyone uses 10w 30 during both seasons to avoid switching between seasons?
Ryan_V
I run amsoil 0w 40 year round in my cat. I also did the same thing in my Yamaha Big bear, no problems whatsoever, love the stuff!!
crappiebuster
Syn is the way to go 4 wheeler starts so much easier. Most 4 wheelers have a few plug choices for temps below 30 degrees. I put one in my 08 honda rubicon it was well worth the 20 bucks. Starts way easier now.
T.O.W
The plug is a good idea too. I concur with the synthetic. I noticed easier starting while using synthetic. It allowed me to pull start my 400 after the battery failed on a really cold night on the ice, I don't think I could have pulled it over with conventional. trapperdirk
I too use Ow-40 amsoil synthethic in my Big Bear . Good solid starts . Whatever you use make sure it is wet clutch compatible without modifiers . I trust amsoil in all my gear .TD
