Earthquake Auger

Its basically the same thing I have the eskimo ice auger and my dad has the earth auger version. If I wanted to I could put my bit on his. Just buy a ice bit for yours. Oh and you might need to tune the carb a bit for running in the cold better.

Is the rotation the same on both models?

The reason I ask, is Jiffy uses a different gear box and different rotation on the earth auger version, than they do on the ice version.

Curious if that may be the case with the Eskimo also.

They will tell you that but its as easy as adjusting the carb to run in the colder temps. Last year I was thinking of doing the same thing and I left my earth auger outside all night on a cold night and fired it up in the morning and it worked fine with no carb adjustment. I ended up buying a new ice auger because I got an awesome deal otherwise I would have done what you were thinking.
