Guntersville Info

I am heading to Guntersville for a week on the 14th of Nov and am wondering if anyone has the names and numbers of good places to stay and eat. Will be down there for 5 days of hard core fishing so would like to be on or close to the water. Nothing super fancy, just secure for the boat and kinda clean for us.

I was on a business trip three years ago in guntersville, al and i stayed at the comfort inn. there is a restaurant and a boat ramp right next to the hotel. it was a very nice place to stay. here is the info: 2140 Gunter Ave, Guntersville, AL 35976 (888)897-0084 I even did a little shore fishing right behind the hotel and caught a couple 4lbs bass right there in the evenings.

If you're going to Lake Guntersville you should consider the town of Scottsboro. It's located mid-lake and a lot closer to the hotspots than the town of Guntersville. Your lodging options are: comfort inn (there are 2 in town, but the one on the north side is brand new), americas best value inn, days inn, or jameson inn. There is a ruby tuesdays right there along with a bunch of fast food joints. The best ramp on that end of the lake is at Goose Pond Colony, and also there is a great ramp right across from waterfront tackle.

I was out there over the weekend and caught a few good ones along with a lot of schoolers. Still mostly froggin' and flipping with a few on a fluke.

Sounds great to us, hopefully the frog bite will hold for another 2 weeks when we will be down there. We are both looking for some good froggin but will take whatever we can get.. See you on the water..
