Does square have lake trout? What have you tried? I would suggest that you try fishing a #6 silver Panther Martin. For ice fishing, try using a red wiggler on a small hook. Just hook the worm once so it can wiggle around attracting the fish.

Try tossing out some 1/4oz buckshot rattle spoons. Rainbows up here in general have been slow also. If you have a canoe or small boat just troll them. I troll them about 40 yards behind me and it works quite well. I know nothing of Square Lake but the method is effective. I'd give my efforts at sun-up and sundown times.

Splakeshaker would you rather eat a splake dinner or a walleye dinner? What can you tell the masses about trout lakes containing splake? I hear slake grow up fast. Splake is a male brook x female lake. Hatchery raised. Do they drop in fingerlings from helicopter?
