Strange sighting!

I finally got out bowhunting last Friday near Grand Rapids. It was a cool 20 degrees at daybreak. Shortly after daybreak I was watching a grouse run around near my stand. The grouse ran off and I saw an animal coming through the brush.I was thinking coyote or fox, but much to my surprise, out came a bobcat! I have seen a lynx in MN before, but not a bobcat. The big cat walked within 10 yds of me and never looked at me and seemed to be following the trail of the grouse that ran off.

Didn't see any deer Friday or Saturday. Saturday was pretty dead with the 2+ inches of snow on the ground.

The "lynx" you seen was probably a bobcat without as many spots since Minnesota has next to nothing for a lynx population, and MN bobcat population has a nice bobcat population.

You may be right. the "lynx" I saw afew years back was stalking some wild turkeys . It was much lighter in color than the cat I saw last week.

I saw a bobcat on the way to the treestand Sunday night in Crosslake. First one I've seen other than on trail cams. I wish the season was longer on them buggers.

Saw what I thought was a bobcat east of outing a couple of weeks ago. Looked up some info and turns out it was a lynx. Very cool to see and I'm happy that he didn't make me.
